This recent residential project records the restoration of dark-coated interior timber beams. The supplied before-and-after photographs show the contrast from the original dark finish to the lighter natural timber grain visible after cleaning, including feature beams above the windows and exposed ceiling beams within the main living space.

Oak Porch Restoration — The Piggery

Years of weathering, blackening and surface contamination were removed to reveal the natural grain and warm honey tones of the original oak. The porch structure, posts, braces and curved arch were all treated, leaving the timber looking fresh and ready for any protective oil or finish.
Oak Porch, Outbuilding & Gates Sand Blasting Restoration
A comprehensive sand blasting restoration across three distinct timber structures at a private residence. The project encompassed the oak-framed entrance porch, a substantial oak outbuilding and garage, and a set of large hardwood entrance gates — all of which had accumulated weathering, dirt and discolouration over time. Sand blasting was the ideal solution to gently but effectively strip back the surface grime and grey weathering from the oak timber, revealing the beautiful natural grain and warm honey tones beneath. The stone surrounds to the porch were also carefully cleaned, bringing the entire entrance back to its original character. The results speak for themselves — the porch, outbuilding and gates have been transformed, with the oak looking fresh, bright and full of life once again.

A large-scale commercial project involving shot blasting of a major steel structure to SA 2.5 standard, removing all rust, mill scale and contaminants to achieve a clean white metal surface. Following shot blasting, the steelwork received a full intumescent paint system providing critical fire protection, with a high-quality topcoat finish applied at height using cherry picker access platforms.
