Restore detail from handrail to tread
A staircase contains many individual elements: treads, risers, stringers, handrails, balusters and sometimes decorative metalwork. We assess the build and coatings as a whole before choosing a controlled process for the timber or metal involved.
The objective is to remove paint, varnish and accumulated grime evenly while retaining edges, turning details and the natural variation that make a period staircase distinctive.
- Timber and metal components evaluated before treatment
- Paint, varnish and staining removed with control
- Natural detail retained across balusters, rails and treads
