About This Project
A Grade II listed farmhouse near Brixworth, Northamptonshire, had original oak ceiling beams that had been coated in dark varnish and emulsion paint over many decades. Working carefully within the constraints of a listed building, our team used a low-pressure microstrip process to remove all coatings without raising the grain or damaging the historic timber. The natural honey-coloured oak was fully revealed across the ground floor living areas, transforming the character of the rooms.
