About This Project
A Victorian property on Billing Road in Northampton had an original oak staircase that had been painted and varnished multiple times over its lifetime. The owner wanted to restore the natural oak for a contemporary look. Our team used a low-pressure dry ice and fine media process to strip all coatings from the treads, risers, newel posts and balustrades without raising the grain or damaging the joinery. The result was a beautifully clean staircase ready for a natural oil finish.
