Fire Damaged Steel Structure Restoration — Northampton
About This Project
Following a fire at an industrial unit in Northampton, the structural steelwork required full sandblasting to remove smoke deposits, soot, heat-damaged intumescent coating and contamination before structural inspection and recoating. Our team worked in a controlled environment, sandblasting all affected steelwork to bare metal to allow the structural engineers to carry out their assessment. The clean steel was then reprimed and recoated with a new intumescent fire protection system.
